Help Wanted: Village the Game Operations Co-Founder

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee development of strategic partnerships.
  2. Recruit and Manage Interns from various business schools.
  3. Hire and manage freelancers on Fiverr, Upwork, etc.
  4. Prioritize and execute all marketing and outreach.
  5. Create content or delegate content creation for marketing, ad, outreach campaigns.  
  6. Monitor Google Analytics for any issues that need fixing or improvement
  7. Try out different software solutions like Shopify, Wordpress, CRM, etc to see what tech we need to continue expansion.

Possible Responsibilities

  1. Oversee development of new features in VillagetheGame.com
  2. Oversee development of technical infrastructure.

Pay

Tasking will be broken up into fixed cost milestones, usually into $1000 milestones.  Once there is enough traction for a for-profit acquisition we can also establish an equity schedule.

Typical Workflow

  1. Review with Darian the collection of tasks in Asana.  
  2. Organize tasks into a milestone.
  3. Make sure documentation needed for any tasks is attached, usually from Google Docs.
  4. Execute, Delegate and Review completion of tasks.

Example Goals of the Operations Role

  1. Drive game activity over 10,000 Monthly Active Users.
  2. Sign-on 200 organizations to showcase their social impact efforts inside Village the Game.
  3. Fundraise over $50,000 via virtual goods inside Village the Game.

  1. Village the Game is based largely out of Los Angeles, CA.
  2. Exceptionally talented and motivated Co-Founders will be considered for long distance

Bethel is even cooler than expected

Within 90 minutes of landing in Redding, I learned of Bethel students engaged in business solutions to extreme poverty. Monday I heard a powerful teaching from Bill Johnson on how life on Earth offers us the only chance to worship God in the midst of our pain, suffering, loss, and confusion.  When we are in heaven we won't have the chance to give God that gift.  Bill's teaching reaffirmed this ongoing theme that suffering matters.  Suffering creeps me out but I can not deny that suffering somehow leads to intimacy with Christ. Monday night gave me a few a hours to meet a great house church where blue collar types mingled with Bethel alum. Prophecy and healing flowed amidst their faith and love.  God gave me a chance to pray for healing for one of the guys. This tested my faith when his knee actually got a little worse in the first couple of minutes of prayer.
