I'm back in Cali. Yay!!

I flew into Burbank Thursday afternoon, caught with Allan at YWAM LA, got my wonder VW Jetta back, and had a good time visiting with the new crop of students there. After a great meeting with Blake about the artwork for the card game and video game I headed back up YWAM LA. Get this, I accidentally fasted the entire day until dinner with YWAM LA which was pretty cool because the YWAM students themselves were fasting on purpose.

Things are really moving forward with Village, too. Today I had lunch with a Fuller student named Shanek Fernando, who just happens to want to make a reality tv show about international development as well. Village the Show, of course, you knew it was coming. =)

My body is still on two timezones I think, I'm not sure which ones though. I'm dead tired in the afternoon around 2; take a quick 3 hour nap; and I'm still falling asleep at midnight. Hmm... go figure.

I'm at the 1570 again up in Pasadena. If you're in the area give me a call.

Explaining the Financial Crisis and the Bailout

Pat Dorsey is a pretty smart guy, Director of Equity Research at Morningstar. He explains why the bailout is a safety net for Main Street not a bailout for Wall Street. Unfortunately Prosper.com only allows loans of $25,000 which just isn't enough for a lot of companies. Maybe Prosper will expand soon to ease the short term credit crisis. Well here's Pat Dorsey's take on the credit crisis:

Praise Reports: Thanks to an anonymous donation my financial support is up to $600 now! Thank you Mr/Ms Anonymous! A childhood friend of mine contacted me out of the blue to let me know he's in Orlando, too.  I haven't seen him since 1997 so hopefully we can get reaquainted next weekend.  He Googled my name and found my address.  God Bless the Internet! The first two groups of students got back from their trips to Key West and Brazil this past Friday.  Seeing how much these young people have matured spiritually gives me more confirmation that I'm in the right place.  I can see the changes in attitude towards their faith and increased priority to follow Christ and it makes the 14 hour days worth the effort. Also Getting 90 minutes a day of prayer and reading is a lot easier than I thought it would be with our 14 hour days.  Being in a community that supports that kind of thing is so awesome! I'm reading a great book called "Intercession: Thrilling ...
